We have been using Tarni Shield for decades at Al Bar - Wilmette Platers. This is appropriate when you need to perform a "deep" cleaning of your silver plate and sterling. For a more frequent less involved cleaning try our gloves and silver spray. The polish also contains a tarnish protectant that slows the process of your silver tarnishing.
